Machine Shop

We are a full service automotive machine shop, offering cylinder head rebuilds, straightening, and block machining and repair. We can sleeve almost any engine, and fix almost any damage to an engine block, as well as assemble and balance engines. We also weld and fabricate as necessary, and offer engine sim testing to test used engines for operating condition. 

Metric Motors fully measures and inspects every part we receive from you. Our base price for inspection of cylinder heads is 80$, and increases for more complex heads with delicate or complicated parts and systems. Notable exceptions are Diesels and Subaru cylinder heads which require more work, or V-Type engines. Full engine inspections require teardown and are a case by case pricing scenario.

Our hourly rate for machine work and for repair and service is $160 an hour. 

For engines and engine block work, we do request that you bring in all parts necessary, so we can get started right away. If you disassemble the engine, please disassemble it fully and bring in everything necessary, boxed if possible. If the engine is complete, we will charge for disassembly and inspection. We don’t do any work without your approval.
